Carrier

Carrier (upper trough) are also called roller supports, roller trestles or roller insertion frames.

Return stations and carrier
DIN 22107 states the most important mounting dimensions for these stations. Here, an essential parameter is the frame width of the conveyor belt system, according to which the length of the Grundschwelle is determined.

With reference to “carrier” we distinguish between several types:

Flat belt carrier:
Two holders, into which a conveyor roller is inserted.

Two-part carrier:
Two conveyor rollers are inserted in a V-form way. This is only recommendable for smaller belt widths.

Three-part carrier:
Here, three rollers are inserted. Evidently, this is the most common execution.

Five-part carrier:
Equipped with five rollers. Their use is uncommon in the field of non-metallic mineral processing.

With regard to the execution of the above-mentioned stations, the manufacturer is free to act at his own discretion. There are, for example, several variants with the Grundschwelle of the carrier: the light execution made of cold-rolled U profile (allows to be used with a belt width of up to 1,000 mm), and the heavy execution made of upright flat steel, of angular steel, of tubes or of hot-rolled U-steel. Whereas, about 30 years ago, a 20°trough inclination was commonly chosen, this inclination was increased by 25° up to a maximum of 45°. At present, most conveyor belt systems are operated with a trough inclination of 30°.

The stations are bolted to the construction or fixed by means of clamping angles. We always keep a selection of three-part carrier in common dimensions in stock.

We deliver carrier of standard dimensions or customized carrier and will be pleased to offer you advice on the basis of our experience of many years.
